Maybe you've encountered the following issue with CopperCube's default variable handling: After having successfully set up a scene object like a npc or enemy with some actions & behaviors driven by different variable states - everything works fine.
But then if you want to copy/clone your object (perhaps multiple times) - nothing is working as it should anymore, because by default CopperCube does correctly copy names & child behaviors but does not care for variables adjustments. As a result you have to adjust all needed variables for each new object copy manually with increased vulnerability to errors taking lots of effort & time to get things right.
CopperCube CLONE VARS is a multiple scripts extension designed to solve the described issue by providing an additional clone related variable system for eliminating any variable adjusting/renaming hassle when cloning/duplicating scene nodes.
Features:
- component for initializing new user specified clone specific variables behavior_HadokenCloneVars_Init
- component for clone specific variable value setting/changing action_HadokenCloneVars_Change
- component for executing actions at clone specific variable if conditions behavior_HadokenCloneVars_DoActionIF plus action_HadokenCloneVars_DoActionIF
- custom clone variable names with prefix & suffix configuration
- next to the mandatory default attributes like scale, position, rotation, etc. CopperCube CLONE VARS lets you virtually equip your scene nodes with an infinite number of individual extra attributes like e.g. "enemy1.hit", "#enemy5_aggressiveness" or "gate2_OpenOrClosed" ... etc.
Please check provided demo scene to see how things work.
Extra Bonus Script:
- behavior_HadokenActionOnProximity alternative for executing actions depending on the distance between two objects providing a working on-passing of the current scene node's id to subsequent actions (which CopperCube's default built-in "On proximity do something" behavior is lacking)
